Protest Under Pressure – Workshop

November 20 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

“Protest under Pressure: How do we respond to the repression of climate activism?” Climate activism is more important now than ever — yet activists worldwide are facing increasing repression. What can we do when speaking up comes at a risk? And how can the law, international frameworks, and collective action protect those who defend our planet? In honor of ELSA Day, we invite you to join our workshop facilitated by. Dr. Alice Dejean de la Bâtie, who is a criminal law assistant professor at Tilburg University. This event is part of the Annual Human Rights Campaign, in which ELSA partners with the Council of Europe. Participants will also receive a certificate of participation for their engagement.

Don’t miss the chance to:

🗣 Debate real-world cases and ethical dilemmas

⚖️ Explore how international law intersects with climate activism and environmental protection
